It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
Adapted by Joe Landry
Directed by Hans Meyer
Experience Frank Capra’s beloved holiday classic in a new and intimate way. Join us live in the studios of the fictional WBFR Radio on Christmas Eve, 1946, where the five hard-working radio actors of WBFR portray George Bailey and the rest of the dozens of characters from the movie. The actors switch effortlessly between voices, and provide live sound effects, right before your eyes. This warm and funny holiday show sold out its 2006 run, and returns to North Carolina Stage Company fresh from a three-state tour.
This show runs from December 18-23, Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. North Carolina Stage Company is located at 15 Stage Lane, Asheville, NC 28801. The box office is open between 10am and 5pm Monday through Friday and the phone number is (828) 350-9090. The ticket prices range from $15-25 depending on the day.
