North Carolina Arboretum

Admission is free, however there is a parking fee of $6 per personal motor vehicle, $25 for commercial vans, $45 for tour buses. The Arboretum currently accepts cash and travelers checks.

Property is open: November through March from 8a to 7p, and April through October from 8a to 9p.

Visitor Education Center is open: Monday through Saturday from 9a to 5p; Sundays from Noon to 5p.

Greenhouse and Production Facility is open: Monday through Friday from 8a to 4p. Closed at 2pm on Wednesdays.

Admission is free, but the Arboretum does have a parking fee. Personal motor vehicles - $6; commercial vans - $25; tour buses - $45. All day Tuesday, parking is free for all visitors.

Directions - Interstate 26 - Take Exit 33 (old Exit #2) Marked Blue Ridge Parkway-Brevard Road-Hwy 191. Turn right (South) onto Hwy. 191. Travel South on Hwy 191 for approximately 2 miles (pass Biltmore Square Mall). Look for brown signs for Blue Ridge Parkway and NC Arboretum. Take right turn at light and entrance to The North Carolina Arboretum, main entrance is ahead on right.

Trails: - Bent Creek Road and Trail - Easy, Carolina Mountain Trail - Easy to Moderate, Wesley Branch Trail - Moderate to Difficult, Natural Garden Trail - Easy to Moderate, Owl Ridge Trail - Moderate, Old Mill Trail - Easy, Running Cedar Road - Moderate, The Old Arboretum Trail - Easy.
